A reverential comment brought to the place that adds to the architectural dowry of the building.
The project „The grass from the palace” is a reinterpretation of a series of works in which the grass is used as a symbol for the memory or the history of some places (birthplace, memorial spaces). The proposition brings the author’s intervention unto the natural medium of the Palace (mowing, the bringing of the grass as an object inside the exhibition) and as a final point has the idea of merging the artist with the history, with the ambiance, the environment and the generic idea of recuperating an accessible material, the grass, bringing a complementary value.
With a scythe that was a long ago my grandfather’s, the artist is mowing for himself, from the back yard, the grass needed for the aesthetical labour. The action is filmed and arranged into a video that belongs to the multimedia installation proposed by the author.
Therefore:
• the outside of the placement is brought to the inside of the Palace;
• the grass weaving becomes a symbol for the history of the “Brancovenesc” Palace, a history that we usually ignore in the same way that we ignore, throw or push to the side the main material, the grass.

Concept:
Un comentariu omagial adus locului care se adaugă zestrei arhitecturale a clădirii.
Proiectul „ Iarba de la Palat” este o reinterpretare a unei serii de lucrări in care iarba este folosită ca simbol pentru memoria sau istoria unor locuri (locul natal, spaţii memoriale)
Propunerea constă în intervenţia autorului asupra mediului natural „ocrotitor” al Palatului (cosit, aducerea ierbii sub foma de obiect in spatiul interior) şi are ca finalitate contopirea artistului cu istoria, cu ambianţa locului, cu mediul şi ideea generică de recuperare a unui material „la îndemâna oricui”, iarba, conferindu-i o valoare complementară.
Descriere acţiune:
Cu o coasa care a fost candva a bunicului, artistul autor îşi coseşte singur, din curtea exterioară a Palatului, iarba necesara travaliului estetic. Actiunea este filmată si montată intr-un video, parte din instalatia multimedia propusa de autor.
În acest fel :
• exteriorul clădirii, ambientul vecin este adus în spaţiul interior al Palatului;
• ţesătura din iarbă devine un simbol pentru istoria Palatului Brancovenesc, o istorie pe care avem tendinţa de a o ignora, la fel cum dăm la o parte, aruncăm sau ignorăm iarba.

3. text/ demers artistic colat pe perete;
4. desen AI/ elemente grafice colate pe paviment si pereti.

Materiale de lucru:
– ţesătură în război orizontal cu iarbă uscată, nod persan şi ţesătură pânză-băteală, BBC- Urzeală: 3 piese (65cm x 300cmx 10cm), 1 piesa 120cm x 80 cm x 10 cm)
– stalpi din fier beton/ constructie cu legaturi din sarma : 12 piese (17cm x 17cmx 225cm), 8 piese(17cm x 17cm x 90cm);
– bare din fier beton: 12 buc.(130 cm)

Film 1:50- 2:00 min; filmare si montare film proiectie: Alin Iacob (colaborator);

The theme that I’m using is called Neve and I like it especially because it is clean and very customizable. I’m very happy with it!
I had a look on your website and I’ve went “Wow!”. I believe that the colors that you use on your page are memorable and go amazingly well with each other.
